For our operations team here at Fjällräven we are currently looking for a Purchase Controller in order to bring our purchasing procedure to an advanced level: by evaluating, creating, and implementing the most effective way of purchasing that will assist in efficient production and stock flow that allows for Fjällräven’s future growth.

This position is a full-time role based in Stockholm (Solna), Sweden. The Purchase Controller will report directly to the Global Product Director who is also based in Stockholm.


As a Purchase Controller you will focus on the following:

  • Monitor range developments over seasons and analyze effects (QTY/variant, margin effects from changed mix of assortment)
  • Weighted margin analysis – summarize analysis and get approval from Global Product Director/MLT (prior to Kick Offs)
  • Creating the purchase plan
  • Proactively flag for deviations vs. plans
  • Ad hoc investigations
  • Communicate & synchronize with sales and logistic departments
  • Compile data and assist Fjällräven and Fenix Outdoor’s central sourcing and capacity team to create projections for booking of capacity and materials
  • Assist in shipping evaluation
  • Compile sales information from our internal retail division and ecommerce business
  • Communication with the product teams regarding sales and assortment analysis on a biweekly basis
  • Together with the Global Product Director compile information, evaluate the assortment mix and create the strategy for our assortment based on Fjällräven’s overall goals


To succeed in this role, you should be a person with a high level of eagerness to develop business and improve processes, who is curious and brings a can-do attitude as well as:

  • An educational background within economics or similar
  • Previous work experience as a business controller, buyer, or business developer
  • Very good knowledge of excel and basic knowledge of BI tools (i.e., QlikView, Power BI)
  • Experienced in working with Cost control
  • AX and PLM knowledge is a plus
  • Previous experience within the textile industry is a plus, but not a requirement
