Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for J.Lindeberg's Business Controlling Operations, including managing one direct report (Retail Controller) and focusing on growing the team ahead of 2022.

Description

Given the nature of the role, it is essential that candidates can demonstrate a strong business acumen (Finance Business Partnering) in combination with an exceptional analytical capacity. Experience from either the Fashion Retail industry and/or a product driven organisation is seen as highly meritorious. Additionally, candidates are expected to have a proven track record in working with ERP and BI process improvements.

In order to be successful in their application, candidates should demonstrate an ability to balance an operational hands-on approach whilst keeping a continuous improvement mindset, challenging the organisation to ensure current processes are examined and improved where possible.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Leading the controlling team - oversee the work plan of the team, performance reviews
  • Business Partnering - Key Business Partner to the CEO, CFO and Budget Owners
  • Monthly Reporting - Lead end to end monthly reporting, including creating and distributing the right reports to budget owners, creating corporate reporting package and reconciling all key differences vs budget
  • Budgeting and forecasting - end to end ownership of process, timeline and technical solution
  • Business Intelligence - System Owner of QlikView/Planacy and managing external IT partners (requirements management)
  • Product Life-cycle Controlling
    • Buying/Procurement - control the buying process in terms of gross margin, over buy and summarizing Total Purchase. Support analysis of risk buy together with key counterparts in Retail, e-com and Wholesale teams. Create closing reports for each seasonal buy.
    • Inventory - control the sell through and inventory of current and historical collections to ensure actions are put in place to deliver the targets set in the buying/procurement process and minimize inventory risk/obsolescence. Manages accounting bookings of inventory obsolescence.
  • Business controller - direct counterpart for Wholesale and e-com Europe. (not for Retail and US)
  • Cash flow - support CFO in cash flow forecast - especially in regards to buying values and timing
  • PLM - update and review currency and indirect cost assumptions periodically
  • Other - as needed project lead/involvement, business partnering and support to top management, participation in strategic work

Required Experience:

  • Relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration and/or Economics
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years' experience in leading a Controlling function
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Controlling
  • Strong understanding of general bookkeeping
  • Experience from Fashion Retail and/or a product driven organisation will be considered a plus
  • Previous experience from ERP & BI is mandatory, experience in Qlikview and Navision will be considered meritorious
  • A proven Excel user
