Marine Jet Power is growing and expanding the supply chain is key for our future business. We are now looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, SQE, to manage and develop our global suppliers. In the role you act as a bridge between purchase, engineering and assembly internally. As a person you are result-oriented, structured and can effectively and independently execute your work and drive your projects forward.
Perform audits and assessments of existing and new suppliers. Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule.
Establish, maintain and improve the supplier quality assurance and performance
Identify and together with the purchasing team bridge the gap in specifications between engineering and supply chain capabilities. In development projects as well as in changes for existing products.
Aid in the evaluation and qualification of new, cost-effective supplier materials and manufacturing methods.
Manage non-conformities with input from projects and assembly. Support in the suppliers' corrective and preventive actions and approve the result. If necessary, travel to supplier locations to resolve quality problems.
Ensure that specifications for all components are accurate and complete
If needed visit suppliers to ensure delivery in time and quality

SQE is a self-propelled co-worker with experience from audits and supplier relations who has a structured and analytical way of working and pay attention to details. You have knowledge in problem solving methods for quality issues including root-cause analysis. You enjoy direct contact with suppliers and working in a multicultural environment. Very good communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing is needed. Ability to travel when required.
A technical interest, curiosity and documentation skills are necessities for this role. You likely have an engineering degree and/or have extensive experience from machining industry. You should also be knowledgeable about manufacturing processes, engineering principles and understanding of CAD and proficient in reading drawings. Knowledge of the ERP system Monitor is a bonus.
You will be part of the supply team at MJP´s HQ in Uppsala Sweden, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
