Manager, Project Management Office & Methods 
 

In a time where SKF is moving with speed into automation, digitalization and new business models - IT becomes a key driver and enabler of transformation. A key position in SKF IT, is to ensure that our project portfolio is deliver with quality on time, and within budget.  This is done by working closely with the relevant project and Program managers, stakeholders and suppliers.
 

This is a global position, with responsibilities for staff, consultants and project outcomes to serve both regions and central transformation/business process owners.

Job responsibilities

This position is the 'engine' for all project/program deliveries within SKF IT, and encompasses the responsibility for:

  • Track deliverables and benefit realisation
  • Provide reporting to senior management and stakeholders
  • Methods and PMO Specialist office
  • SKF IT Project Manager pool
  • SKF IT Resource management processes and tools
  • SKF IT Project Portfolio management reporting
  • Facilitate governance process

Personal profile

  • Well-structured with multi-tasking capacity
  • Result focused with clear service mind-set towards stakeholders
  • Ability to drive method development with a 'bigger picture' mindset
  • Purposeful action taker with tactical and proactive ability
  • Experienced people manager (5 years +)
  • Skill of balancing business requests, with resource constraints and governing policies
  • Experience from supplier management in the IT industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and able to manage in a matrix on international level

Job requirements

  • Relevant University degree
  • Significant experience from project/program and PMO responsibilities in a complex environment
  • 5 years+ experience of working with the IT industry
  • Experience and work in supplier delivery management
  • Basic understanding of key ITIL processes
  • This role will require a strong command of English and possession of any other international language is a plus.

Additional information

The position is to be located at SKF head-office location Gothenburg (local contract), and reports to the Director, Transformation Services, SKF IT
